Student-Friendly Supplies

I started school a little over a month ago (your girl is currently in the midst of midterm season). With the long commute, early morning classes and loads of homework, I’m looking for any little thing to help make my student life a little easier.

Here are some of the products that have been helping me get back into the rhythm of being a student.

tarte shape tape fair

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer – I’ve sung Shape Tape‘s praises before.  But I’m going do it again because nothing hides the fact that you’re exhausted and are rocking giant bags under your eyes like this ultra-powerful concealer.

Wet n Wild Photofocus Dewy Face Primer

Wet n Wild Photofocus Dewy Face Primer – I wear this bad boy every day.  Not only does it give the most gorgeous golden glow, but it takes less than a minute to dry, which means that I don’t have to add an extra five minutes of walking around my bedroom, to wait my face primer to finally set. I would happily buy ten backup bottles of this primer.

invisibobble review

Invisibobble – I bust out my invisibobbles when I’m getting ready in the morning and even after a long day in class. These things are a game-changer. In fact, they’ve completely replaced my regular hair ties.  Gone are the days of my head hurting because of how tight my ponytail is.  These things are comfy to wear, hold up whatever bun-like hairstyle I frustratingly come up with when my hair is bugging me and best of all, they don’t put that annoying dent in your hair!  I actually find these more versatile than regular hair ties, because when I put up my hair, I’m able to pull away little sections of hair, to even out that piece-y, messy-updo kind of look. If I could get a lifetime supply of these things, I’d be a happy camper.

L'Occitane en Provence Hand Cream

L’Occitane en Provence Hand Cream – I scatter mini L’Occitane hand creams everywhere: my backpack, my purse, my car – everywhere. It’s the most moisturizing and luxurious-feeling hand cream I’ve ever tried. When I’m walking around campus on those cold days, I can’t reach for it fast enough.

L'Occitane en Provence Hand Cream

Tweezerman Eyelash Curler – I trick people into thinking I’m more awake than I actually am by curling my lashes with my Tweezerman lash curler.  Curled lashes make me look more wide-eyed and awake (I swear, it makes me look like I got an extra hour of sleep).

lug backpack

And an honourable mention goes to my lug via tote backpack. It has a ridiculous amount pockets and compartments – it makes me feel so organized.  I have a pocket for absolutely everything: pencil case, books, little knick-knacks, my makeup and anything else I need to bring to school. And it’s easily adjustable for good back support, so it’s never a pain to wear.
