Tweezerman Rose Gold Classic Lash Curler – Review, Before & After

Ever since I busted the pad on my beloved Revlon eyelash curler, I had been in the market for a new curler.

The things that I look for in an eyelash curler are: a firm pad (I go pretty hard when it comes to pumping the curler, and when the pad is soft my lashes get stuck in it), something that catches my outer lashes, and something opens up wide enough for me to comfortably fit my lashes inside.

People had suggested that I tried the notorious Shu Uemura curler, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me, so imagine how excited I was when I saw that Tweezerman was launching a curler as part of their Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

The Tweezerman Rose Gold Classic Lash Curler ($20 CAD) is a rose gold version of Tweezerman’s best selling lash curler.  It comes with a silicone pad (plus 3 replacement pads), that promise to not stick to your lashes.

The curler didn’t open as wide as my previous Revlon curler, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker, as I could still wiggle my lashes into the space – I would say that it opens with about 1 cm of space.

I like to curl my lashes by starting at the base, and using a pumping motion (tightening and loosening up the tool a few times) while moving to the middle and the tip of my lashes.  Sometimes I can go a little nuts with the curler, and hold the squeezed tool on for too long, which can make for a crimp in my lashes, so I’m constantly needing to remind myself to move the curler along my lashes in pumps that don’t hold for more than 2 seconds each.

I’m so happy with the results – I’ve finally found a curler that works for me!  During my search for curlers I had found that a lot of curlers were too short and didn’t grasp my outer lashes, but with the Tweezerman curler and a bit of maneuvering, I was able to curl all of my lashes.
