2018 MVPs

As we say goodbye to 2018, we look back at the year that was. And in doing so, I look at my favourites from the last year.

2018 makeup favorites

These are my 2018 MVPs.

physicians formula butter bronzer light

The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light Bronze has made many appearances on this blog, and for good reason. It’s buildable, blendable and doesn’t make me look orange. It gives me that nice sunkissed look, appropriate for any occasion!

too faced sweet peach palette

This year, I re-named the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette as “my interview palette.” Any time I had an interview, meeting or just had to look professional I could rely on a golden nude eye, courtesy of this palette.

thebalm frat boy blush

Perfection is any single blush from theBalm, and that includes theBalm’s Frat Boy Blush. This versatile blush suits any type of look I put together – I couldn’t get enough of it this past year.

essence cool nude 05 lipstick

This lipstick. I could go on and on about the essence lipstick in Cool Nude (05), but I’ll keep it short. This lipstick has been and continues to be that lipstick that I fall back on time and time again. After trying on four lipsticks and realizing nothing goes with my look of the day, Cool Nude comes through.

Finally, my most-used item of 2018 is the Invisibobble. I wasn’t a believer until I actually tried these hair coils for myself, but once I did, there was no going back. In fact, I can confidently say that I have exclusively used Invisibobbles to tie up my hair for all of 2018 (if you spotted me with a regular hair tie, it was because I lost all of my Invisibobbles….I’m convinced that my cat steals them). If Invisibobble made a monthly subscription box, I’d be the first to sign up.
