The brand it Cosmetics has always been special to me. I’ve always felt a connection to the person behind the brand and her story.
The birth of my love for reality TV started before I was a teenager. I remember watching the first episode of Big Brother, season one and remember immediately being drawn to the housemate, Jamie. She was smart, she was beautiful, she was hard-working and had a magnetic personality.
Years later she co-founded it Cosmetics, with the goal of creating makeup that she could use with her skin condition. When I started blogging and reading about makeup that I could use to cover up my breakouts and acne scars, I found myself researching it Cosmetics. The first image that came up was a picture of Jamie Kern Lima and I immediately recognized her face. It blew my mind to realize that the person on my TV screen that I admired all those years ago found her way to makeup in the exact same way that I did (I can’t say our journeys are identical…..she turned her love of makeup into a billion dollar company!). Since finding out that Jamie was the person behind the company, to this day I still find myself perking up any time I see it Cosmetics products.
And with that long-winded story, let’s get into the review. The it Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Ombré Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi comes in a matte silver plastic compact with a mirror. The compact contains 10.8 g of product, which is pretty substantial for a blush. The blush is a rosy shade with a hint of coral and a satin finish.
The blush was finely milled and picked up nicely on my brush. It was too pigmented, which I prefer in a blush, because it allows me to start light and build it up until I achieve a satisfactory colour payoff.
Je Ne Sais Quoi is one of those muted everyday shades that doesn’t stand-out too much, so if you’re looking for a reliable blush that you could easily brush on and continue with your day, pop over to the it Cosmetics to check out their CC+ Radiance Ombré Blush line.
