MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish “Whisper of Gilt” – Review, Swatches & Look

This highlight has been on my list for years. First, it was a discontinued shade, then it was brought back for the holidays, but you could only get it as part of a duo or a gift set (I didn’t want all the extra stuff – just give me the highlight!).

Flash forward to last week when I was at a Cosmetics Company Store when I just happened to peek at the MAC section before leaving the store. To my surprise, I found Whisper of Gilt and to my delight, it was on 40% off! It was MY day. Definitely a “treat yo’ self” moment.

Compared to the Wet n Wild highlight in Golden Flower Crown (one of my most used highlights of 2018), Whisper of Gilt is a little bit warmer and less pink. Compared to Tarte’s Exposed Highlight, Whisper of Gilt is more copper and not as pale of a gold.

Ugh, it’s literally the Goldilocks of highlights – not too subtle, not too intense, juuuuuuust right. I’m happy with my purchase…..I regret nothing!
