*phew* I feel like I need a water break after typing out that marathon of a title.
Today, another week, another chance to talk about the drugstore brand, Rimmel London. Rimmel makes a solid nude lipstick, and I actually just bought their Magnif’eyes Spice Palette, but let’s see if their concealers do the job. Can this one replace my prized Tarte Shape Tape?
The Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Breathable Concealer comes in a squeezy tube, featuring a clear window, so you can see the actual shade of the product (I love when brands do this). One tube has 7 ml of product.
The applicator is a sponge-y bubble, with a little hole for the product to come out of.
As you can see, the centre of my face is brighter, which is where I think the strength in this concealer lies. It didn’t do what I needed it to, which was cover my dark circles near the inner corner of my eyes and underneath my eyes, but that’s because this product really sheered out when blended (I used a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, because the applicator was too dense to blend the product into my skin). Unfortunately, I can’t speak to the 35-hour claim, because I can’t handle wearing makeup for that long – let’s be honest…who can?
This didn’t end up being the concealer for me. For my specific needs, I require a concealer that will either colour correct is insanely pigmented. You know, anything that will hide the fact that I haven’t slept in five years. This concealer might be for you if you are looking for something to give a gentle brightness to your face.
