There’s no better way to start off your morning beauty routine than by picking up a bottle of foundation that smiles back at you.

The friendliest foundation to hit your vanity this summer is the Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation.

Benefit’s latest foundation comes in an opaque 30 ml bottle, with a reflective pink cap and a heart-eye emoji design.

Instead of a pump, the product comes out of a simple squeezy tip.

I was able to achieve light to medium coverage with two thin layers of the foundation, using a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

I used to be all about laying on the foundation, but with the sweltering summer heat, I kind of have no choice but to opt for a lighter look (the “melting face” look is not my thing). I have to say, I really like this foundation. The way the product felt when it was applied, as well as how it felt when I wore it throughout the day was extremely light and fresh. Most importantly, it didn’t feel like it was clogging my pores – it was so comfy! It reminds me of the Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Foundation, but since it doesn’t have a water base, I’m actually able to achieve slightly better coverage.

I wore this foundation for 11 hours. After such a long day, there wasn’t much remaining product on my forehead or nose, but there was still a little bit of pigment remaining, which was enough to not make it look like an entire section of my face was missing foundation.

Nothing complicated here. We have a winner!
