It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee because BITE Beauty is making your mornings just a little bit sweeter.
BITE is launching a collection of six coffee-themed glosses that are sure to become a part of your morning routine.
The BITE Beauty French Press Lip Glosses* come in six neutral shades inspired by your morning brew.
Coming in a clear square tube, with a pebble grey cap featuring the BITE logo, each tube contains 4.3 g of product. Inside the tube, you’ll find an angled tear-drop shaped applicator.
The shades are not only named after types of coffee, but they also smell like a warm cup of joe. The scent doesn’t linger too long, so it isn’t overwhelming – I actually like the scent because it’s so different than the regular chocolate and vanilla shades we’re so used to in makeup.
Flat White is a pale nude. It took a few layers to achieve opacity, but it didn’t settle or cake up in my lip lines like most light lipsticks do.
Vanilla Latte is a pumpkin-y nude shade. It’s one of those shades that I would wear with a with a purple eye look.
Salted Caramel is like Vanilla Latte if you took away the orange tint and added a little splash of coral.
Dirty Chai is a rich rose. It’s so pigmented that it just took one swipe to really show off the shade. This one was my favourite from the collection.
French Press is a dark chocolate cherry. Although it packs quite the punch, it sheers out as you apply it, so it doesn’t have to be too intense. If you want that intensity, you can build it up with a second or third layer.
Black Coffee is just that – a black coffee (hold the cream, hold the sugar). Compared to French Press it leans more purple than it does red. If you get in really close it looks like a glossy eggplant shade, but from far it’s a strong cup of black coffee.
I’ve never been a gloss gal, but I’ve been wearing these glosses EVERY DAY to school, without fail. My fave is Dirty Chai, but I love how commanding the darker shades like French Press and Black Coffee are. The formula is creamy and not too slippery. Unlike most glosses, these don’t dry up after 30 minutes. Even an hour into wearing it, I was able to rub my lips together to re-moisturize them.
The BITE Beauty French Press Lip Glosses will be available online at bitebeauty.com on June 3rd and at Sephora on June 20th.
