NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream ‘Cairo’, ‘Los Angeles’, ‘Brussels’ – Review, and Swatches

Every so often you find a lipstick, and look it up online to find some swatches, only to come up with nothing.  That’s exactly what happened with these three shades.

During the holidays NYX makes little gift sets, containing three lip products.  Sometimes these products in the set are pieces from the core collection, and sometimes they are only available when bought as a set, which was the case for the three shades in the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream “Set 9” (If I’m not mistaken).  The set was on clearance at Ulta, so I quickly grabbed it.

Can’t find swatches?  Make your own, I said!

‘Cairo’ is a creamsicle orange-y nude.  It was a bit streaky, and settled into my lip cracks.

‘Los Angeles’ is a mauve-y brown.  This one was very creamy and easy to work with.  And so pretty!

‘Brussels’ is a blackberry purple.  It was a dryer formula, so I had to dip in about 6 times, to build up coverage.  But it made me feel like a devious Disney villain, so it was worth the work.

Ooooh, I am really digging ‘Los Angeles’!  Hopefully they make more holiday-exclusive shades for next year.
