You may have heard me talk about Teeez Cosmetics before (HERE and HERE). But if you are unfamiliar, they are a Netherlands-based brand with fun packaging, that are inspired by runway trends.
Today I’m talking about a few pieces from their latest line, the ‘Fashion Vendetta’ Collection.
Let’s start with the packaging. Cue up light watercolours and rose gold accents. And if you look carefully you can see both skulls, and high heels!
The ‘To Die For’ eyeshadow quad in ‘Scarlet Adrenaline’ ($48.00 CAD) features four eyeshadows, that come in a compact surrounded by reflective rose gold, with a mirror included. The four shadows are a matte cream, a shimmery golden salmon, a warm matte chestnut, and a matte mauve.
To create the look below I applied the chestnut to the crease, the cream to the inner corner of my lid, the salmon all over my lid, and re-vistited the chestnut and placed it in the outer V of my lid.
While I like the colour selection in this palette, and I like how the look turned out, the pigmentation just wasn’t there in all the colours. The stand-out shade should have been the salmon, but I had to apply about 5 layers to get it onto my brush, and then onto my lid, to have any sort of colour payoff. While I had the same experience with the white, I did find that the chestnut shade was much more pigmented and easier to work with.
Next up is the ‘Read My Lips’ lipstick in ‘Cool Cerise’ ($26.00 CAD). Get ready for a shower of compliments……I LOVED this lipstick. ‘Cool Cerise’ is a dusty rose, that falls into the “my lips but better” category.
It applied like an absolute dream – one swipe gave you full coverage, and the formula was super creamy and comfortable, with just the right amount of thick, so it didn’t move around.
And as a bonus, the lipstick makes a click sound, when you wind it down all the way, so you know it’s secure and it wont be nicked by the cap when you try to close it. I’d definitely recommend trying out this lipstick.
Finally, we have the ‘Style Addict’ highlighter in ‘Berlin Sunrise’ ($32.00 CAD). This is a cream highlighter, that contains 13 ml of product. ‘Berlin Sunrise’ is a golden-yellow highlighter that has a thick, almost mousse-y formula.
I applied it to the tops of my cheeks, by dotting it then blending with my finger – it gave off a very subtle glow. I also tried applying it to my browbone, however it was difficult to blend the cream formula on such a small area.
While I’m not a fan of cream highlighters as a whole, I did enjoy the look that ‘Berlin Sunrise’ gave off, especially since I don’t have anything like it in my highlighter collection.
