I’ve seen Paul & Joe products pop up online (they make the cat lipsticks!), but I’ve never actually used any of their makeup.
Well today that all changes.
This is the PAUL & JOE Eye Color in ‘CS 103 – September Song’. This eyeshadow trio is part of their limited edition “A Stroll in the Park” collection, and features romantic blush shades reminiscent of the changing autumn leaves.
The eyeshadow pan is housed in a light cardboard case, decorated with green, purple and red leaves, over a baby pink background. One really cool thing about this compact is that if you flip it over, you’ll see a little hole that reveals the back of the eyeshadow pan, so you can depot the pan, and put it into a Z Palette.
The trio contains three colours: a light pink, a copper cranberry, and a warm taupe – all with a satin finish.
To create the look below, I applied the taupe to my crease, and the outer half of my lower lashline, the light pink to the inner half of my lid, and the cranberry to the outer half of my lid.

I’d give the pigmentation of this trio a 7/10 (based on how they pick up on a brush, not how they swatch on my arm). The cranberry was the most pigmented of the three, but the pink took a few layers to really show up. The shadows blended together very easily, which is a big plus for me. All that being said, I do think that the price tag is a bit steep for 3 grams of product, in my opinion (For reference, a standard MAC eyeshadow single contains 1.3 grams of product.
You can find the PAUL & JOE Eye Color in ‘CS 103 – September Song’ for $26.00 CAD at participating Shoppers Drug Mart beautyBOUTIQUE locations, and participating Murale locations.
