Ricky Wilson (Makeup artist to the stars!) was in Toronto last week, giving makeovers at Holt Renfrew.
I got the chance to sit down with him and chat all things Snapchat filters, Walking Dead, and of course, makeup!
With big name clients like Emmy Rossum, Aisha Tyler, and Coco Rocha, and having worked with designers like Betsey Johnson, Vera Wang, and Marchesa, Ricky is no stranger to the world of fashion and beauty. His beauty philosophy is based on teaching women to enhance their own style and beauty, and find their inner diva by experimenting with colours and trends.

Here are some of Ricky’s favourite Dior products:
Product: Dior Flash Luminizer Radiance Booster Pen
Why it rocks: Used backstage by Dior makeup artists, this light-boosting pen contains a liquid highlighter that compliments various skintones.
Product: Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Fragrance
Why it rocks: Take fruity and floral notes, and top it off with a bit of spice. ‘Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming’ is made with roses that are specifically harvested in France for Dior fragrances. Check out my full review HERE.
Product: Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipstick Comfort & Wear ‘999 Matte’
Why it rocks: Because of the history! This colour was worn when Dior sent its first look down the runway.
Product: Dior 5 Couleurs Designer Palette in ‘Khaki Design’
Why it rocks: This palette has everything you need to complete an eye look – shadows, browbone highlight, cream eyeliner, and brushes.
Product: Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara
Why it rocks: No eyelash curler necessary – the Iconic Overcurl does the work for you!
Product: Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipstick Comfort & Wear ‘962 Poison Matte’
Why it rocks: The blackened lip is a huge runway trend, this year. Line your lips with a black liner, and fill it in with ‘Poison Matte’, and get your fierce on!
Product: Dior Eyeshadow Brush #22
Why it rocks: While your collection may have 100 brushes, you only REALLY use your main 5 – this brush is one of those 5. You can create an entire eye look with this one brush: Use the flat edge to pack on eyeshadow, then flip it over, aim the pointed edge into your crease, and blend away.
