After attending the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Rouge Lipstick launch, I knew that I had to get my hands on those beautiful lippies.

Let’s take a look!

The Artist Rouge lipsticks are housed in a matte black lipstick tube, with the MAKE UP FOR EVER logo on the cap.  When you remove the cap, the engraved silver base is revealed.  The lipstick tubes themselves have a bit of weight to them, so if it gets lost in your purse, be sure to check the very bottom of your bag.

I’m just going to say it.  These lipsticks are GLORIOUS.  Pigmentation is off the wall – one swipe!  After 2 hours of wear there was only some slight fading in the centre of my lips, as well as near my cupid’s bow, and on the corners of my lips – but it wasn’t very noticeable.  The formula is very comfortable.  It feels similar to my all-time favourite formula, Maybelline’s Creamy Mattes, just not as thick.  The darker colour is perfect for fall, and is great if you want to add a spin to the bold matte lip trend.  The nude is a perfect every day colour and could easily become my go-to lipstick.

The only downsides are the fact that they are not transfer-proof, and the darker colour, C506, majorly stained my lips after I took it off (which might be a plus for some people).
