By now you’ve probably heard about Cover FX. Perhaps you’re one of the people who have been swarming Sephora stores left and right trying to get their hands on the Custom Enhancer Drops that you’ve seen beauty gurus Jaclyn Hill and Tati use.
Even though the Enhancer Drops are hard to track down, Cover FX has different forms of highlighters to hold you tight, until that next restock.
Today I’m talking about the three new Enhancer Clicks. If you aren’t familiar with the Cover FX Click Stick system, take a look at my breakdown HERE.
Long story short, the enhancer clicks are pocket sized stick form highlighters. Cover FX has just added these three new colours to their already existing line of six. They can be applied on their own (I apply it from the tube and blend with my fingers), or they can be applied under powder highlighter to create “layers of light”. Let’s take a look!
‘Gold Dust’ is a caramel tan.
‘Blossom’ is a subtle baby pink.
‘Gilded’ is a warm bronze.
In the photo below I applied ‘Blossom’ on the tops of my cheeks, to compliment my blush. I also applied ‘Gilded’ with a dense flat brush to my lower lash line.
I really liked how ‘Blossom’ played with my blush – it was just the right amount of glow. I think ‘Blossom’ is a good highlighter to use on those “natural makeup days”, when you don’t want too much of a bold glow. I’m also very pleased with how I was able to use ‘Gilded’. Because of my fair skintone I have a hard time pulling off any type of warm shades (they tend to stick out like a sore thumb, no matter how much blending I do). So instead of wearing it as a highlighter, I popped it on my lower lash line, to liven up my eye look. As far as ‘Gold Dust’, it also falls into the category of looking fairly dark on me, so moving forward, I could either wear it how I wore ‘Gilded’, or I could apply a bit of the product to my fingertip and tap it onto the tops of my cheeks for a more gentle glow.
