Dior Polka Dots Colour & Dots Manicure Kit in ‘Confettis’ and ‘Plumetis’ – Review & Nail Art

Happy Mani Monday, peeps!  For this weeks nail art, I played around with the the new Colour & Dots Manicure Kit from Dior.

The Dior Polka Dots line is part of the Dior Summer 2016 Milky Dots makeup collection.

Dior invites you to taste the pleasure of a milky pink like a summer smoothie, let yourself go to the vibrations of a fiery bronze, give in to the temptation of a blue as deep as the Mediterranean.  Enjoy a confetti-like manicure that explores the contrast between pink and lavender as a prelude to the summer.

The colour combinations were created by Peter Phillips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.  He aims to create a bold contrast between a cherry and a melon in ‘Confettis’, an azure blue and nude beige in ‘Pastilles’, and an azalea and a lavender in ‘Plumetis’.  Each kit contains two complimentary colours (7 ml bottles), as well as a dotting tool.

Review:
I really like how high end brands like Dior are embracing nail art.  The colour choices are lovely, and they compliment each other beautifully.  The formula isn’t too thin, and the wide and rounded shape of the brush makes for a clean application that helps you avoid drowning your cuticles. I achieved opacity with 3 coats.

Dior Polka Dots Colour & Dots Manicure Kit is $38.00, and will be available at Dior counters starting May 2016.
