As you may know, Essence has released a whole bunch of new products for this upcoming spring/summer season (Check out the launch HERE). I usually turn to Essence for smaller products, like lip liners and nail polishes, but they are stepping it up, and adding foundation into the mix.
Bonus: this marks the first time I’ve ever posted a completely makeup-free selfie. All in the name of cosmetics and journalism!
Pure Nude Make-Up is said to give a natural finish with a ‘no make-up feel’. Available in 3 nude shades, it promises to be light-weight and silky, with a semi-matte finish.
The bottles are a simple beige and black tube, with a pump. You get a full-sized bottle with 30 ml of product, which is the same size as Maybelline or Estee Lauder’s foundations (two brands of foundation that I’ve been using for years).

Review:
This one was a bit of a miss for me. With only 3 shades available, it was pretty likely that this foundation wouldn’t be a good match for my skintone. At first (while I was applying it with a Real Techniques Sponge) ’10 – Pure Beige’ seemed like a great match. But as the foundation dried, it oxidized, making it turn orange – not oompa-loompa orange, but orange enough for it to no longer match my skintone. Maybe I’ll revisit this colour during the summer, after my skin has seen a few weeks of sun.
In regards to wearability, at first, it felt moisturizing, but as they day went on, if I scrunched my face, it felt dry. Sort of like when you wear a face lotion, and the moisturizer starts to wear off. It was a matte finish, and lived up to the ‘no make-up feel’ promise. It mostly applied smoothly, however it wore patchy on dry areas of my skin, like around my nose. If you are looking for more coverage and want to add another layer of foundation, make sure that you apply it consistently on all areas of the face – I missed some spots during the second application, and it was very obvious that my application was uneven.
I think that this foundation would work for people who have a more yellow undertone. You can grab Essence Pure Nude Make-Up for $5.99. What’s you go-to foundation? Let me know in the comments, and until next time, toodles! – Shawna

Interesting that it's such a colour change on the pure beige which round normally be my type of shade. Also not to keen it feels dey and lacks moisture throughout the day, nothing worse for my skin which drys out so quickly.

Thanks for the heads up on this product . Don't think I will be rushing in to buy the product . ( I don't have yellow undertones ) .
Needs more colours for sure
This was the perfect foundation for me. It’s sad that it’s no more in the market to buy
