Revlon Selects

I was recently chosen to test out a few new Revlon Products.  I will be giving a detailed review of the “moon candy” nail polish in the “Orbit” colour, and a brief review of the other products supplied.

The moon candy collection is a duo wand nail polish of a base with a flaky topcoat.

Pro’s:  – Pretty colour
           – looks cool

Con’s: – began chipping within hours
           – did not go on smooth (plastic pieces of flake were sticking out)
           – even with 2 thick coats of topcoat, the flakes could not be flattened
           – the flakes took 3 coats for them so be visible

Verdict:  I wouldn’t pay money for this.  It was a hassle to apply, and maintain.

The lipstick I received was a little bit greasy, and more sheer than I would have liked.  The file is nice, I like the sparkles.  The nail art duo I have not used yet, but I do like the concept of having a base, and a complementing colour with a thin nail art brush.  The eyeshadow I thought was really cool, again not my colour, being very fair-skinned, but the large variety of colours with detailed directions on the back of the package was a great idea.
