Charlotte Tilbury “Copper Charge” – Review, Swatches and Look

A little while ago Charlotte Tilbury released 4 colour-coded Luxury Palettes made to help specific eye colours really pop. I had been lusting over these quads since they launched, so I’m beyond excited to have them in my possession. While each palette is not made with the intention of enhancing EVERY eye colour, the quads certainly are pretty so my green eyes are on board for any colour combination Team Tilbury offers.

First up is the palette that enhances brown and blue eyes, Copper Charge.

Like every Tilbury quad, they come housed in the traditional burgundy compact with the Charlotte Tilbury logo in gold, complete with a mirror.

Each quad in the “Magic Eye Colour” collection has 4 shades. In the Copper Charge quad, there are two metallic shades, one shimmer shade and one matte shade.

I tend to really like Charlotte Tilbury palettes and this quad is no different. How gorgeous is this look?

The construction of this quad is done quite well, where it has a super blendable and creamy matte shadow for a transition shade (Smoke), two powerful metallic shades for the lid (Prime and Enhance) and a very subdued shimmer shade (Pop) for a more natural look. Something I was pleasantly surprised by was the Prime shadow because usually when I see metallic shades I automatically assume it needs to be applied with the fingertip, but this particular shadow applied quite impressively with a brush (although it applied with more opacity if I used my fingertip). Because I like shadows that have more impact, I don’t see myself using the Pop shade, but it’s a good shadow to have for those people who want something more subtle with a bit of pizzazz since it has an almost invisible base with micro-shimmer that catches the light just so – it would look lovely on its own for a one-shadow look. As with many non-matte shadows, the shimmer and metallic shades do have a little bit of fallout, but not so much fallout that I wouldn’t recommend you grab this quad.

Even though this quad isn’t made for green eyes like mine, I’ll definitely be wearing it like it was made exclusively for me.
