I’m an absolute sucker for a teeny tiny liquid liner. It’s no secret that I love the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner Micro Tip (it’s the only liquid liner I’ve used for the past year), but when I was at Ulta last week I saw they had their own version of a micro tip liner.
I had swatched it on my hand and forgot about it, but after a day of hand washing and a shower, the liner on my hand lasted so I knew I had to go back and buy it.
The best way for me to properly review Ulta’s micro tip liquid liner is by doing a direct comparison to my beloved Stila micro tip liquid liner. They both come in skinny black tubes, the Ulta liner has white writing and the Stila liner has gold writing. The Ulta liner has 0.6 g of product and the Stila liner has 0.5 g of product.
Both have a felt tip applicator, but the Ulta liner has a bit more of a rounded shape while the Stila liner is a straight cone shape. It should be noted that in the comparison photo below, the applicator for the Stila liner is a bit frayed as the tube is a well-loved liner that I’ve been putting to work for the past 6 months.
I am not exaggerating when I say how spot on this liner is. The colour payoff is rich, just like the Stila liner it doesn’t budge and it lasts all day. The only difference I see between the two brands is that the Ulta liner has just a *bit* more of a sheen to the finish than the Stila liner does. They’re both easy to work with and the applicators are so similar that you can get a near identical look.
I’m so happy I found a dupe of the Stila micro tip liner for when I finish my current one up!
