Worth Every Penny – Products I’d Happily Pay Full Price For

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas – these are the sale days I save up for all year.

worth every penny

During the year I try to hold off on buying makeup because I always tell myself “just wait for a sale.” And 95% of the time I’ll be patient and wait for some sort of promotion. But there are some products out that are so good that if I had to buy a new one, I wouldn’t hesitate to pay full price.

I’ll start by noting that I normally take my own photos for my posts, however, because I’m featuring products that are so very used, I’d rather use fresh and clean product photos, courtesy of Ulta and Sephora.

HD Perfect Coverup Foundation

Any time I’m asked what my favourite foundation is, without hesitation, I say the Inglot HD Perfect Coverup Foundation. I have absolutely zero complaints about this foundation – it’s medium coverage, blends and sets beautifully, lasts all day and has the perfect finish. Sometimes I’ll use a foundation for a month and then put it on the back burner once I find something I like more, but I always find myself coming back to this foundation.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop

Oh, I hopped on the BECCA train reaaaal fast. I think I held off during the very first time it up on Sephora’s website, but by the first restock I was totally sold. The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop was the highlighter that started it all for a lot of us beauty lovers, and years after its release, I still get complimented on my glow.

Tarte Tarteist Mascara

I believe I was first introduced to this mascara by pure chance after it was kindly given to me by Melanie from I’m Not A Beauty Guru. I’m always up for trying a new mascara, so I didn’t have any expectations, but I was blown away. The Tarte Tarteist Mascara is my absolute fave non-drugstore mascara, no contest.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – Micro Tip

I can confidently say that Stila’s liquid liners are among the most-mentioned products on this blog. So no surprise here, the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – Micro Tip in Intense Black is an absolute dream. Just like its predecessor, but with a finer tip – what’s not to love?

Benefit Galifornia Blush

I had been fawning over this one for sooooo long. But I caved, I bought it and I’m not mad about it. The Benefit Galifornia Blush is their latest cheeky release and it stands out among the crowd. Perfectly pigmented, this coral punch blush is such a fun shade. And bonus, it comes as a mini, so you don’t have to fork out the funds for the full-size if you don’t want to.

abh modern renaissance

I remember when the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette came out. Everyone went nuts for it, so I figured if I didn’t look at it or touch it in-store, I wouldn’t need to buy it, right? But after swatching it at Ulta a few months after its original release, I was sold. The formula and pigmentation on this one is incomparable. I’d happily buy this one again.

Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Cathedral

Last but not least is one of my most reliable lipsticks. The Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Cathedral is bolder than your everyday subtle nude shade, but there’s something about it that keeps me coming back. I picked it up at IMATS and have a backup waiting in the wings.
