Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation – Review, Swatches, Before and After

I never met a sale rack I didn’t like. So when I saw a cart filled with makeup, with each item priced at 94 cents, who was I to turn away?

There was even a foundation that looked like it could be a good shade match. In the cart, you go!

The Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR with Comfort Serum Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation (what a mouthful!) comes in a clear glass bottle, complete with a pump applicator and a standard 30 ml of product.

I applied two pumps with a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and was able to achieve light to medium coverage.

I’m a bit torn with this foundation. As you might know, my problem areas when it comes to wearing foundation is my T-zone. Most foundations don’t stand a chance when oil starts to poke through on my forehead and nose. Unfortunately, like many before, this foundation was no match for my T-zone. I applied the foundation at 6:30 a.m. and by lunchtime, my T-zone was shining like a lucky penny…..so it didn’t last for 25 hours like the name suggested. HOWEVER, I can’t get over what a good shade match Ivory is. I have a hard time finding a shade that works for me because of my undertones; usually, I go with the lighter shade, which leaves a white cast, and then warm it up with blush and bronzer. But man, oh man, do I love how perfect of a shade match this is (I’m actually so surprised, this almost never happens). Because it’s such a great match and the formula stood up pretty nicely on the rest of my face, I’m willing to pack blotting papers with me and perform a bit of maintenance throughout the day – totally worth it.
