I’m pretty forthright about my fashion sense…..it’s nothing showstopping. But as someone who has taken significant steps in upping their outfit game as of late, I figured it’s about time I do a fashion post or two.
Why not start with one of the most creative fashion shows around? Each year designers create beautiful gowns, made entirely out of bathroom tissue. You read that correctly – these gorgeous dresses are made out of straight up toilet paper. I look forward to seeing the dresses every year, the creativity blows me away every time. This was the show’s 15th year, which paid homage to the traditional 15-year anniversary gift – crystal. It featured 15 top fashion designers from across Canada.
The annual kick-off to October Breast Cancer Month, The Cashmere Collection heralds the return of limited-edition Cashmere in support of breast cancer efforts. Twenty-five cents from the sale of every specially marked package goes directly to breast cancer efforts at the Canadian Cancer Society. Canada’s fashion stars not only get to create one-of-a-kind couture, but they also get to make a difference in the lives of Canadian women and their families affected by breast cancer. Vote Couture for Cure is a unique initiative for Canadians to give back – the 15 Canadian designed Bathroom Tissue Couture gowns are now on display at Facebook.com/Cashmere and Canadians are invited to vote for their favourite look. For every vote, Cashmere will donate $1 to the breast cancer cause! Canadians are also invited to purchase Cashmere Limited Edition Pink bathroom tissue, with twenty-five cents from the sale of each pack going directly to the cause.
