Following the global success of the first collection, Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder have reintroduced 10 of the original products, as well as 18 new products, plus two limited edition sets.
I have two pieces from the collection to share.
“With this makeup collection, I want to make women everywhere feel empowered, beautiful, and confident. Inspired by my favorite cities in the world, this collection reflects my own personal beauty vision” – Victoria Beckham
The cities that inspired this collection are: London, L.A., New York, Paris, and Miami.
The outer packaging is a matte black box with gold accents. The compact box has a delicate quilted-like texture.
‘Black Cassis’ ($50 USD/$65 CAD) is a deep, rich bordeaux. It is part of the Paris collection.
“I love the allure of Paris. The sophisticated style on the street is contagious. Drench yourself in French style and lose yourself in Parisian chic.”
The rimmed gold packaging is inspired by vintage Estée Lauder packaging.
It is a classic cut bullet with a “VB” embossed on the side.
Usually with deep shades like this, I proceed with caution, as I expect the pigmentation and formula to be patchy and dry. But ‘Black Cassis’ was amazing. The pigmentation was strong, bold, and even. It’s easily the best dark vampy solid lipstick formula I’ve ever used.
I absolutely love this lipstick – I feel so powerful when I wear it!
‘Modern Mercury’ Highlighter ($98 CAD) is one of the first 10 pieces from the original collection. It comes in a matte black clutch compact with gold accents. This compact has some weight to it, so it really feels like you’re carrying something valuable. It is part of the Miami collection.
“Miami is a total escape for me. The mood is influenced by Latin music, sultry humidity, and the city’s colorful Art Deco inspired contrast.”
It’s a divine pink-y golden shade. This type of shade is usually too dark for me, but the formula was easy to sheer out and then build up to my liking.
I kept checking my highlight in every mirror/window that I passed by, and with each one *BAM* there it was! It melted beautifully into my skin and had a slightly metallic finish to it.
I loved these two products. If you are looking for some luxe makeup to treat yourself to this holiday season, check out this collection.
The Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Fall/Winter 2017 capsule collection is available for a limited time only.
