Gift Guide: Mini Madness

My favourite part of holiday products is the mini gift sets.  It allows you to try out a product, without committing to a full sized item (or the full-sized price).

Especially with makeup products.  How often do you ACTUALLY finish a full-sized liquid lipstick?

Here are my top picks for this year’s teeny tiny treats.

L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE‘s Crackers Collection ($34 USD & CAD) features three crackers stuffed with three minis.  You can give all three to a L’OCCITANE lover, or split them up among people.  The crackers in this set have three themes: Pleasure and Fragrance, Sweet Time, and Revitalizing Moment.  Available at L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE stores & online.

cover fx custom enhancer drops set

I was soooo happy when I first saw this set.  While the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops are beautiful, a single full-sized bottle can cost a pretty penny.  Luckily for us glow-enthusiasts, we now have a Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drop Set ($42 USD/$52 CAD) featuring four minis (4.5 mL each).  For the price of one full-sized bottle, you can get four different shades: Halo, Celestial, Moonlight, and Rose Gold.  Available at Sephora, CoverFX.com, and CoverFX.ca

Quo cosmetics lip gloss bar

Quo seems to cover all their bases when it comes to holiday sets.  They have brush sets, contour palettes, advent calendars, and more.  The Quo Cosmetics Lip Gloss Bar ($20 CAD) includes eight mini lip glosses that cover a range of shades.  Available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.

conair mini pro hair straightener

Planning on travelling over the holidays?  I always try to pack light when I travel (although I end up failing miserably), but those clunky hair tools take up so much space!  The Conair Mini Pro Hair Straightener ($17.97 USD/$29.99 CAD) is the answer to all my hair problems – a space saver in my luggage, and I no longer have to abandon my plans of having manageable hair (sorry, top-bun – you won’t be needed).  Available at in the USA at Walmart.  Canadians can find a retailer near them at conaircanada.ca

dr teals soothe and sleep with lavender

The cold weather can be rough on my feet, so I need to take extra care of them.  Dr. Teal’s Soothe & Sleep Set ($10.32 USD/$7.99-8.99 CAD) includes a small bag of lavender epsom salt soak and a little bottle of foaming bath.  The relaxing lavender will make for a light and calming, spa-like experience.  Available in the USA at Walmart, and in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart and Real Canadian Superstore.

sony extra bass wireless speaker

I know, I know – this item is not in any way beauty-related.  But I always like to include at least one non-beauty item.  And this little guy has been by BFF as of late.   I use the Sony Extra Bass SRS-XB10 Wireless Speaker ($49.99 CAD) on the daily.  When I blog I love to listen to podcasts, and this bluetooth-connected speaker follows me everywhere – my desk, the kitchen table, even the shower (it’s water resistant)!  It’s no bigger than a coffee mug, lasts up to 16 hours, and makes my podcasts sound crisp and clear.  Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Best Buy, and The Source.

stila sheer delight mini set

Stila always has awesome mini sets.  One of the sets they have this year is the Stila Sheer Delight Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Set ($20 USD/$26 CAD).  It includes three shades: Patina (a personal fave – swatches HERE), Fiery, and Sheer Morello.  I absolutely love Stila’s holiday sets – such a great value!  Available in the USA Sephora and Ulta, and in Canada at Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart, Murale, and BeautyBoutique.ca

real techniques miracle complexion sponge mini

I am a true believer in the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.  It rivals the Beauty Blender, and I have yet to find any other sponge that measures up.  The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Mini Set ($7.99 USD/$17.71) features four mini sponges in different colours.  It’s great to target those hard-to blend areas, like the corner of your eyes, and around the nose.  Available in the USA at Ulta, and in Canada at select Rexall and Pharma Plus stores, and Walmart.

Happy holidays, friends!
