Sneak Peek: Stila Spring 2018 Launches + Swatches

On Wednesday I checked out a preview of what’s to come to Murale in the spring of 2018.  Of course, I gravitated towards Stila, which is one of my fave brands.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up, with swatches!

We were introduced to the ‘Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows’ in Stila’s ‘Eye For Elegance Liquid Eyeshadow Set’.  I figured that we would eventually see a full collection of them soon, and it looks like we’ll see them in 2018!  Here’s some swatches of a few shades that stood out to me.

We’re also getting some new ‘Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow’ shades!

And the thing that I’m most excited about (although I’m pretty jazzed for everything in this post – yay glitter!) is the new Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Shades.  I absolutely love their liquid lipsticks because of the wide shade range.  They have fun pops of colour, as well as a great range of neutral shades, that suit so many different skintones (some of my faves are HERE).  Here are some of the shades.

I am digging ‘Paradiso’ and ‘Dolce Vita’.

They are also releasing new finishes, with new formulas.  The sheer formula is said to be more comfortable and light than the regular matte finish formula.  They also have some new glitter topper shades – if I’m not mistaken, I believe they are part of the ‘Glitterati’ family.

Hi!! Thanks for swatching! What are the differences you see between cloud and wanderlust?

Hi Kristina! Wanderlust is part of the “Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow” family, so it is more of a glittery eyeshadow. ‘Cloud’ is part of the liquid eyeshadow family, so it was more creamy & opaque, and had a sheen to it, vs pieces of reflective glitter (if memory serves). I also think that Wanderlust leaned more gold, while Cloud leaned more lilac.

Thank you for swatching all of these! Would you say that there is a difference between the new color Gypsy and the discontinued color Violet Vixen? I got suspicious when they discontinued Violet Vixen that this may just be a repromote under a new name, but I do love purples, so I don’t want to miss out if it truly is a brand new shade. What do you think?

      Hi Zoey,

I’ve actually never used Violet Vixen, so I don’t really have a frame of reference. Although judging by photos, Violet Vixen looks more amethyst/deeper than Gypsy. Gypsy seems more silvery.
