I’ve been a NYX fan for years. My fave lipstick formulas of theirs are the ‘High Voltage Lipsticks’, and the ‘Matte Lipstick’.
The latest addition to their lipstick fam is the Pin-Up Pouts.
From polka dots to pointy pumps, nothing compares to the classics. Our personal fave? Ever so creamy lip color, of course! Take yourself back to the signature lip that started it all with our Pin-Up Pout Lipstick. Inspired by the best of vintage beauty, this retro rouge covers lips in extra plush, richly pigmented and absolutely undeniable color. Our throwback lipstick also offers beautiful coverage in an array of 24 swoon-worthy shades.
The Pin-Up Pout lipsticks are housed in a black tube with the corresponding lip shade featured on the top of the cap.

I picked out my top 6 shades to review.
‘Wild Spirit’ is what I like to a “blurple” – if blue and purple had a baby, this would be it.
‘Almost Famous’ is a neutral light mauve. I usually expect these types of shades to have an easy-to-work-with formula – and it did!
‘True Vixen’ is a dark eggplant. The formula was streaky and had lots of patches that exposed my natural lips (which I lovingly refer to as “balding”). But when you step away and see this shade on the lips – daaaaaang!
‘Wisteria’ is a campy Lucky Charms horseshoe purple. This one stained my lips after removal – it felt super weird to walk around with a grey-ish purple shadow-y stain.
‘Cocktail Hour’ is a garnet red with red and gold micro-glitter. Due to the glitter, it had a gritty texture and a sheer application. It needs to be built up to achieve good coverage. While I couldn’t see too much of the glitter when I wore it, there was tons of glitter left behind when I removed it.
‘Rebel Soul’ is a brandy brown-red. It was much darker than I thought it would be. The formula felt like a slightly less melty/greasy version of the NYX High Voltage Lipsticks.
