Summer may be over, but you can still enjoy come refreshing gelato.
Elizabeth Arden has released a colourful collection that includes lipsticks, lip liners, and cheek tints.
The Plush Up Lip Gelato ($26 USD/$33 CAD) is a plumping product, however instead of a burning feeling, you get a light cooling feeling.
‘Bare Kiss’ is a peach-y nude. It is lightly pigmented, so it reminds me of a tinted balm.
The Plump Up Lip Liner ($21 USD/$27 CAD) defines and contours the lips. It has a rubber spatula on one end, to help blend out the product.
While I didn’t feel the plumping effect, I can vouch for the formula. It applied really easily – very creamy, and not at all dry. Although I tried to use the rubber spatula on the other end to blend out the product, I found that the product had already set, so it didn’t want to move – rubbing my lips together (the usual way that I blend my lip liner) seemed to be the better option.
The Cool Glow Cheek Tint ($26.50 USD/$34 CAD) is a water-based gel formula.
I found that the best way to apply it was with a stipple brush in a light dabbing motion (with any liquid blushes, if I am to apply it with my finger or in a circular rubbing motion, it usually removes the product underneath like my foundation). It took a second application for the shade to really show up on me. I wasn’t used to how wet the formula was, but I’m happy with the natural result.
