Sometimes it’s worth it to brave the MAC Warehouse sale (if you aren’t familiar, check out my post/vlog HERE).
During the most recent sale I grabbed this Estée Edit Flash Illuminator Fluid Powder ‘Heat’. I know, I know, I broke my “no more buying highlighter” rule, but for $15 dollars I figured it would be good to review on my blog.
The Estée Edit is a collection by Estée Lauder that has products aimed at a younger generation (the spokeswoman for their first batch of products was Kendall Jenner). Think glittery finishes, more adventurous shades, and innovative concepts like “lipstick transforming topcoat”.
‘Heat’ is housed in the same packaging as the Estée Edit blushes – a silver, ribbed design, with a splash of white. The compact contains 5 g of product, compared to a BECCA highlighter, which contains 8 g of product. The powder is embossed with the same ribbed design that is featured on the packaging.
I would describe ‘Heat’ as a warmer, and more sheer version of BECCA’s ‘Champagne Pop’ (I found ‘Heat’ to be less finely milled than ‘Champagne Pop’). So it’s a good option if you find ‘Champagne Pop’ to be a bit too intense. I like to wear it on those days when I want a golden glow, but I don’t want it to be too “in-your-face”. And while the shade is pretty warm, I still find it wearable on my fair skintone.
