Fun fact: I didn’t know that Shoppers Drug Mart carried more than drugstore brands until 3 years ago, because my local Shoppers Drug Mart had the smallest beauty aisle you’ve ever seen.
Three years ago I saw the light. I remember thinking “Shoppers sells Benefit Cosmetics? SHOPPERS SELLS CHANEL?!?!”. It was a transformative day.
I recently made my first Beauty Boutique online order, so I thought I’d share what I grabbed. More brands have been getting added to the online store this month, so I decided to grab all things Urban Decay – a brand that was recently added to the site.
The first thing I grabbed was the original Naked palette. Because I’m a bad beauty blogger if I don’t own all the Naked palettes, right? I have heard from many people that the original Naked palette is the best of all the Naked palettes, so it’s been on my shopping list for a while.
Since I got an Urban Decay classic, I also wanted to take a look at some of the newer (okay, not totally new, but new-ish) UD items. This is the Urban Decay After Glow 8-Hour Powder Blush in ‘Fetish’. I wanted an everyday blush that I can rely on, since I only have one of those “ole faithful” blushes in my collection (MAC Kelly Osbourne ‘Cheeky Bugger).
Finally I grabbed one of the newly reformulated and repackaged Vice lipsticks in ‘Backtalk’ which is a beautiful nude mauve (Quelle surprise – she got another neutral). After swatching it in store, it was on my wishlist. I’m so glad I have it in my hands!
I qualified for free shipping, and three free samples – I chose Benefit’s ‘Ka Brow!’, Clarins eye cream, and Smashbox’s primer. The package came quickly, in a cute Beauty Boutique Box, complete with a card. My first time shopping at the online Beauty Boutique was a smash!
