Holiday Gift Guide 2016

It’s the giftiest time of the year!  The holidays mean spending time with your loved ones, but they also mean presents-a-plenty.

holiday gift guide 2016

Here are some of my top picks for gifts to give and receive, this holiday season.

stila stay all day sprakle all night review

For the liquid lipstick lover in your life (what a tongue-twister!), consider the Stila Stay All Day, Sparkle All Night liquid lipstick set ($39 USD/$51 CAD).  This set contains five mini liquid lipsticks (one tube contains 1.5 mL of product, compared to a full-size, which contains 3 mL of product) in: ‘Baci’, ‘Rubino’ (a new shade), ‘Fresco’ (a new shade), ‘Patina’ (my personal fave!), and ‘Bacca’, as well as a Glitterati Lip Top Coat in ‘Transcend’ (contains 1.2 mL of product), which will give the lipstick underneath some added sparkle, without changing the matte finish.

For the guy or gal who likes to glow, look no further than Shoppers Drug Mart’s Quo (rhyming for days)!  The Quo Soft Focus Highlighting Palette ($30 CAD) comes with a compact that contains a mirror and three highlighting powders – a pink champagne, a pearl, and a warm gold.  The three shades are sure to compliment a variety of skintones.  The set also comes with an angled contour brush, and a tapered dome brush that are as soft as a teddy bear!

acure aromatherapeutic moroccan argan oils review

To suit a your skincare needs, check out Acure’s Aromatherapeutic Morrocan Argan Oils ($24.99 CAD).  This set contains a trio of organic coconut, rose, and citrus ginger argan oils that will soothe the senses, calm the mind, and provide head-to-toe nourishment. These argan oils are 5 products in 1 – a repairing facial serum, a body & decollete massage oil, a hair serum, a hand & cuticle repair, and a dry elbow & heel soother.  They are vegan and free of parabens, gluten, synthetic fragrances, silicones and phthalates.

mac nutcracker sweet smoky eye bag review

Looking for something to smoke out those eyes for a holiday party?  Enter the MAC Nutcracker Sweet Smoky Eye Bag ($42.50 USD/$51 CAD).  This kit contains four full size products – a False Lashes Mascara, a Technakohl Liner in ‘Graphblack’, an eyeshadow single in ‘Fathoms Deep’, and a Pro Longwear Paint Pot in ‘Dream Scene’, as well as a cute makeup bag.  For the cost of this kit, it’s quite the steal (if you were to buy the shadow and the paint pot individually, it would cover the price of the set)!  And if you’re looking for another piece from the MAC Nutcracker Sweet collection, check out my review of the Smoke Eye Palette HERE.

Sudio Sweden Regent Earphones review

So you’ve spent time and money on gifts for other people, but don’t you think that it’s “treat yo’ self” time?  These are the Sudio Sweden Regent Earphones in white ($159 USD/$219 CAD).  They have a padded and adjustable headband, studio quality sound, collabsable design, 3-button remote and mic, and 24 hour battery life.  They can be wireless and attached through bluetooth, or you can use the cord that it comes with.  And bonus, you can customize the look of your earphones, with the interchangeable caps ($20 CAD – currently come free with a Regent purchase, until December 18th, 2016).  And if big headphones aren’t your thing, they also make wireless earbuds (Check out Chelle’s review HERE).

I love popping these headphones on, and listening to some music or a podcast when I’m writing up a blog post.  They aren’t advertised as being noise-cancelling, but they do a great job at drowning out the outside noise (Ex: When wearing them, I don’t hear the clicking of my keyboard or computer mouse).  They’re comfy, and they look so fresh!

Now I know that these earphones might be a bit pricey, but the people at Sudio Sweden were kind enough to give me a discount code to share with you (not at affiliate code).  Just enter the code “spillthebeauty” to save 15% on your purchase.  Sudio Sweden always offers tax-free purchases and free worldwide delivery.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette

And the final piece of my gift guide might be something that beauty lovers have seen before.  It may not be new to the market, but it’s back just in time for the holidays.  Come though, Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette ($49 USD/$59 CAD)!  This yummy-smelling palette contains 18 peachy shadows – with shimmer, matte, frost, satin, and metallic finishes.  And if you love the Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette, I have reviews of the three newest members of the Sweet Peach family:  Creamy Peach Oil Lip Glosses, ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ Blush, and Sweet Peach Glow.
