I think it’s safe to say that I love playing with lipsticks. My lipstick collection has grown exponentially in the last 2 years, but that’s okay because I love reviewing them.
Today I’m reviewing the Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre in ‘Sly Ingenue’.
“Uncover a luminous low-lit finish for lips that shine with multi-dimensional, prismatic colour. NEW Pure Color Envy. Hi-Lustre Light Sculpting Lipstick features a new Optical Pearl Blend so lips look fuller with a glamorous, luminous finish. Lips are irresistibly beautiful, kissably soft and dynamically confident.“
The lipstick is housed in the classic Estée Lauder lipstick packaging – a dark blue and gold tube, with a magnetic closure.
‘Sly Ingenue’ is a fuchsia rosewood colour, with a satin finish. It applied easily, and was nicely pigmented (not CRAZY pigmented, but pigmented enough to not need to apply four layers).
Although the lipstick itself had a fine microshimmer, I did not see the shimmer actually translate onto my lips.
Rimmel Kate’s #104 is similar, but it is more brown-toned, with a matte finish. Clarins Joli Rouge ‘Soft Plum’ has a hint of brown as well, but not as much as the Rimmel Kate. ‘Sly Ingenue’ is more pink than the other two.
You can find Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre ‘Sly Ingenue’ for $36.00 CAD at Estée Lauder counters.
