What’s In My Everyday Makeup Bag?

I’m someone who doesn’t like to carry a big heavy purse, so I carry a relatively small bag on the daily.  But whenever I’m on my way out, I always grab my little makeup bag that is filled with essentials that I might need to help maintain my makeup for the day.

Here are some travel-friendly products that I have with me at all times.

L’Occitane En Provence Dry Skin Hand Cream – This little tube of wonder-cream fits nicely into my little makeup bag.  And it packs a real punch – one small pea-sized amount moisturizes my hands immediately, for instant relief (which is something I really need during the winter).

Bath and Body Works Bow Mirror – I got this a couple of year ago, and it hasn’t left my side.  Purple, sparkly, and shaped like a bow – what’s not to love?

e.l.f. Essentials Shine Eraser – A definite must-have for me – I must reach for these blotting papers at least twice a day.  I don’t know what’s been going on, but in the past few months I’ve gone from combination skin, to oily skin.  These little guys have been my saviour!

The Body Shop Lip Line Fixer – Fun fact, I never put on lipstick first thing in the morning, because I drink my coffee on the subway, and I don’t like applying lipstick, and having it come off on the cup.  Once I get to work and my coffee is done, I apply whatever lipstick I popped in my bag that day – that way, I also have the lipstick available for re-application, mid-day.  That’s where the lip line fixer comes in – when it’s time to apply or re-apply, I line the outside of my lips with this retractable lip liner.  It’s invisible, and makes sure that my lipstick doesn’t run away – a great addition to my bag.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Nude Collection #45 – As mentioned above, I pop whatever lipstick I plan to wear, in my makeup bag.  So I checked what I was in my bag, when I wrote this post, and voila!  This product is part lipstick, part lip balm, and all around pretty!  Definitely one of my go-to’s when I’m looking for something to compliment any makeup look I’m sporting.

That’s all for today – do you have any recommendations of things that I should add to my travel bag?  Let me know in the comments below.  Until next time, toodles! – Shawna
