It’s New To Me! Shopping My Stash

As part of my effort to not share any photos that include my face until my skin clears up (read all about what happened HERE) I’ve had to get a bit more creative with my posts.  It’s been tricky, because usually my creative outlet is my makeup, so I’ve been up a creek with no paddle, as of late.

Sometimes, you have to dive deep into your beauty battle station, and re-discover some of your overlooked babies, that you forgot that you own.

Here’s some things that I’ve recently re-discovered, and will be working into my routine.

Coastal Scents Quad, w/ Hot Pots in ‘Fancy Pansy’, ‘Sunbeam’, ‘Mai Tai’, and ‘Wild Raisin’ – Coastal Scents has some great picks when it comes to their Hot Pots.  Although the colours and formulas can be hit or miss, these four colours are definitely winners in my book.  And they look great together, too!

Wet N’ Wild Mega Last Lip Color in ‘Mocha-licious’ –  Let me tell you, Wet N’ Wild can make a mean matte lipstick.  For about $2, this colour packs quite the punch.

e.l.f. Blush in ‘Innocence’ – Another $2 bargain find!  ‘Innocence’ is a soft muted pink, that I could happily wear every day.

Milani Shadow Eyez in ‘Almond Cream’ – Although this is marketed as an eyeshadow stick, ‘Almond Cream’ works beautifully in the lower waterline, to give that awake and wide-eyed look, that says “Of course I went to bed before 3 am!”

China Glaze in ‘Lubu Heels’ – I bought this colour during the winter a few years ago, when I would throw money at anything that had that vampy red/black look.  The colour combination might be more catered to a Halloween look, but I’ll sport it any day.

NYX Retractable Lip Liner in ‘Nude’ – For those days when no liner can compliment your nude lip, this one never fails.

I’m definitely going to have to shop my stash more often.  It’s always fun to find the things you completely forgot about.  Until next time, ta-ta! – Shawna
