MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Plexi-Gloss & Artist Palette

I’ll be honest, every time I pass by the Sephora in the Eaton’s Centre, I can’t help but go into the MAKE UP FOR EVER boutique – it’s bright, it’s bold, and the sales associates are always quick to offer up some assistance when I walk in.  I experienced that same excited feeling when I heard about the new plexi-glosses & artists palettes.

Meet the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Plexi-Gloss lip lacquers.  This collection has 35, yes you read that right, 35 shades, which includes includes two finishes: pearly and non-pearly and offer shades from natural and subtle to bold and fearless. With its SuperFlex applicator designed for an easy and precise application, the new Artist Plexi-Gloss lip lacquer is a must-have for Summer 2015!

Thanks to a new hold-fast polymer and a silica powder that ensures the pigments are evenly distributed,
Plexi-Gloss lacquers the smile for 5 hours. A steadfast ally that knows
how to feel natural thanks to its ultra-comfy texture that glides onto
the lips in one go.

Did you know that the inspiration behind the Plex-Gloss lip lacquers goes back to the 80’s?  Creator and Artistic Director of MAKE UP FOR EVER, Dany Sanz has always been drawn to Plexiglas®, a material that
was very popular in the 1980s. It’s actually a Plexiglas® vanity case
she was using at the time that inspired her to create Artist
Plexi-Gloss.  Thanks to Prizmalite® spherical micro-beads, Artist Plexi-Gloss cracks the codes
of fabulous shine. Light is boosted for a mirror-like reflection of the
lips. Pigments and pearlizers acquire a new dimension, more dazzling
than ever.  Thanks to the very high percentage of pigments, Artist
Plexi-Gloss offers vibrant, ultra high-performance colors that are able
to give the lips a perfect rendition of the colour on the bottle as soon
as it is applied.

I’ve gone into Sephora to swatch these, and the purple shades are calling my name.  The SuperFlex applicator, which is like a flattened, but wider version of the doe-foot applicator, with a split in the middle to hold more more product, makes for a smooth, and clean application.

In addition to the unique applicator, the 35 essential colours come in 2 versions; pearl, for a shine that’s peppered with fine pearlizers, and pure, for colour that’s more intense than ever.
