#FOTD Tutorial w/ Too Faced Cosmetics

Good afternoon peeps!  The look that I’m sharing with you today is a simple nude eye, which is a great ‘go-to’ look – it can be worn over and over again, as a natural everyday look, and played aroud with to play up your features.  And the good news is, all the shadows are from one palette, the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette, which has a great mix of classic matte shadows, and some shimmers to add some ‘pop’.

So take out those gorgeous Too Faced products from your beauty battle station and follow along!

To start, I used the Too Faced Brow Envy Kit on my eyebrows.  This brow kit is my ‘holy grail’ product, it comes with everything – tweezers, eyebrow stencils, a brush, a spoolie, a highlight cream, a setting wax, a blonde powder, a brunette powder – and hallelujah, the blonde brow powder has no red undertone! *happy dance*  Seriously, a good ashy blonde powder is so hard to find.  For this tutorial I used the brunette powder on the tail of my brow, and the blonde to fill in the rest.

Then I primed my eyelids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, which really works for me – not greasy, dries quickly, and doesn’t crease.  Also…my cat thinks it’s delicious.

Shoo, kitty!

Here are the shadows that we’re going to use in this tutorial:

Step 1 – Apply ‘Heaven’ onto the inner 1/3 of your eyelid.

Step 2 – Apply ‘Silk Teddy’ onto the outer 2/3 of your eyelid.

Step 3 – Apply ‘Chocolate Martini’  onto your “Outer V”, and blend it towards the centre of your crease.

Step 4 – To add a bit of warmth, lightly dust ‘Push-Up’ above the crease colour, with a fluffy brush.

Step 5 – Tightline with a black gel liner, and apply a black mascara onto your lashes.

Step 6 – For the finishing touches, line underneath your bottom lashes with ‘Chocolate Martini’, then blend it out with ‘Push-Up’, and highlight your browbone with ‘Heaven’.

And voila!

I really like adding a pop of shimmer, and giving the look some life, by adding a bronze-y shimmer onto my bottom lashes – I think it gives your eyes that extra “oomph”.  What’s great about this look is that it can make your eyes stand out, but it’s muted enough to rock a bold lip, if you’d like.

For my foundation I used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, for my blush I used theBalm ‘Hot Mama’, on my lips I used Maybelline “Lust For Blush” matte lipstick, above my cheekbones I used Becca Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal, on my lashes I used Covergirl Lash Blast Volumizing mascara on the top lashes & Essence Lash Princess on the bottom lashes, and my eyeliner was Inglot Gel Liner #77.

That’s all for today!  Do you have a favourite Too Faced product?  I think the original Chocolate Bar palette is next on my list.  Let me know in the comments below.  Until next time, toodles! – Shawna
