April 2015 Faves

May is here, and that means one thing – warmer weather!  Right?……RIGHT?!?!  Seriously, this Toronto weather has been so strange and inconsistent.  One second it’s sunny, the next, it’s hailing chunks of ice.  But I digress.  Here are some of the products (and one unpictured non-beauty product) that I’ve been using in the month of April.

Click through, to for the details.

Milani Illuminating Face Powder – ‘Hermosa Rose’

I ordered this from Milani during a promotion, and I’m happy that I did.  I use a light dusting of it under my cheeks, and around my temples to give my face a bit of colour.  It’s fantastic for someone like me who has very fair skin because it can be applied very sparingly, and it can give a very gentle glow.

Real Techniques – ‘Expert Face Brush’

This is only my second Real Techniques brush, but it is sure to not be my last.  This one was recommended by several CBB ladies, and I’m very pleased with it.  I use it to apply my liquid foundation, by using pressing motions, as well as light buffing circles.  Definitely a must-have in your beauty arsenal.

DDM Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick – ‘Danger’

I did a review on this, after discovering the brand at fashion week (you can read and check out swatches here), so I may be repeating myself.  But if you’re a fan of matte liquid lipsticks, you might want to take a look at DDM cosmetics.  This liquid lipstick comes in a twistable brush-tipped pen, which makes it super easy to apply.  If you have problems colouring inside your lip line like I do, this product could be your new bestie.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Spray & Set

The L’Oreal pro spray & set was the only reason that I got the Target beauty box.  The box only cost $5, which is cheaper than the price of buying the individual item in-store.  It’s oil free, has clear instructions on the back, and does a good job at holding my makeup in place for the day.

Britney Spears perfume – ‘Fantasy Circus’

An oldie but a goodie, it was my very first fancy-ish perfume.  It has scent notes of raspberry zest, apricot blossom, blue peony, and musk.  Fruity and fresh – my favourite kind of scent.

Burt’s Bees Lemon Cuticle Butter

Because nail care is important, year round!

Colors By Llarowe nail polish – Blonde Ambition

When I heard that my #1 nail polish lemming was being discontinued, I knew that it was time to bite the bullet, and place an order.  This picture doesn’t do it justice – seriously, google some images of it, it’s glorious.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner – Intense Black

This was from the Lisa’s Cosmetics warehouse sale (read about it here), and I’m happy that I grabbed 2.  The color is bold, which I like, and the applicator tapers to a very fine tip, which I love.

Perry’s Ice Cream – Peanut Butter S’mores

No explanation necessary.  I mean……look at it.  Marshmallow ice cream with chocolate chunks, graham cracker, and peanut butter swirls.  It’s a winner.

That’s all for today.  My next post will be up on Friday or Saturday, and it will be about my morning attending a taping of Cityline.  If you get City TV, it airs Friday morning, so check it out, and I’ll put up the post after it airs.  Until next time. – Shawna
