Essence Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2015 Launch

Hello friends!  With the new season comes warmer weather and, even better, makeup launches.  Today I have some of the latest from Essence Cosmetics, from their #happilyeveressence event.

Click through to check out the launch that happened in an actual CASTLE!

I’m a big fan of Essence cosmetics – first and foremost they’re super-affordable, which means that you can buy their products, and not feel apprehensive about it setting you back a pretty penny, just in case it isn’t your cup of tea.  Beyond that, they’re colourful, they have a huge range of products, and they’re sold all over the world.

Right before Essence came to North America, I even begged one of my friends ot pick up their nail polish for me, on their trip to Switzerland (that mani may or may not be somewhere on the blog….).  So needless to say, I was pretty excited for this event.

The event was held in the screening room of Casa Loma, in Toronto.  Laura and I arrived a bit early, so we got to walk around, and check out the castle.

After touring the castle, we headed to the event and walked down the purple carpet.

We headed down the purple carpet, and into the event, and it was beautiful!  Makeup, and cupcakes, and mani’s, oh my!

Once inside we got to indulge in some delicious treats, watch “The Princess Bride”, and hear all about the new releases from Essence, which include a “Plump No Clump Mascara”, “Shake Me! I’m Pretty Top Coat”, “3D Eyeshadows”, and the thing that I’m most excited about, the “2 in 1 Eyeliner Pen”.

There were also mini-manicures, featuring the talented nail artists from Tips Nail Bar.  The nail artists did great work, and I was so impressed with how quickly they did the mani’s.  Bonus points, because I got to talk about nail art techniques, and clean-up brushes with them.

My mini-mani – so fun!

My first time trying chicken and waffles – yum.

Here are some of the goodies we got to take home, and a sneak peek of the products that you’ll be seeing in some upcoming “Reviews-Day Tuesday” posts.

It was a great event, where we all got to bring out our inner princesses.  I had a fantastic time, and can’t wait to share my thoughts on the latest products.  Have any of you tried Essence products before?  Do you have any favourites?  Let me know in the comment section below.  Until next time! – Shawna

Awesome event overview! Looks like they put a lot of effort into it. Everything looks great! I wish I could have gone to this one. ;___; I'm pretty interested in the Essence nail polishes actually. The only thing I have from Essence is a nail polish dotting tool.

Their nail polishes are great. Medium sized bottles, similar size to the maybelline Color Show. I'm wearing "off too miami!" right now. I want to try stamping with them too (essence also has 2 stamping kits). I approve!
