My Custom-Made Polish from Honey Buttons Nail Polish

Happy Reviews-Day Tuesday, friends!

Today, I have a review of my first custom nail polish from the lovely and talented Jessica, of Honey Buttons Nail Polish – I’m really excited to share this one with you!

Straight from the Honey Buttons website, they “create custom polishes with a personal touch and
uniqueness for any occasion. They are perfect for gifts, favors, birthday
parties and any other event!”.  The customer collaborates with Jessica, by discussing what kind of polish they would like.  They discuss things like color, finish, optional glitter, and polish name.

Ever since I saw that there have been
bow-shaped glitters, I had always wanted to get my hands on them.  I
wanted to make a polish inspired by my competitive university
cheerleading team, that I was a part of for 4 years.  Being a part of
the team was such an integral part of my university experience – I had
such a great time learning learn new skills like stunting & cheer jumps, I got
the opportunity to compete & travel, and best of all, I became a
part of a brand new family – so I wanted to make a polish that had my
teams’ uniform colors (red, white, and black).  And since the ladies of the team always wore big Minnie Mouse-style bows to practice and competitions, I
wanted the polish packed with bow-shaped glitters.  So here’s the blueprint for my official dream polish – a white crelly base, with red bow glitter, and small black hex glitter.  Here is what Jessica came
up with.

Ahhhhh, it’s BEAUTIFUL!  I’m in love!  The formula is so smooth, and it goes opaque in 2-3 coats.  It required a bit of fishing to get the bow glitters, but it’s because they’re a bit heavier than the average glitter – but it’s not a problem to me.  I just closed the bottle, gave it a good shake, and next time I opened it, I had some bows on my brush.

In natural light.

I can’t say enough about my new polish, “iCheer”.  You guys have GOT to check out Honey Buttons Nail Polish’s stuff.  I definitely recommend contacting Jessica to make polishes for your next birthday party, bachelorette party, or any event that needs some goodies for a swag-bag.  She is a joy to collaborate with, and the polish possibilities are endless!  Here are a few pictures from her instagram page, @honeybuttonsnailpolish, to show you some other customers’ custom polishes.

That wraps up Reviews-Day Tuesday.  Until next post, don’t forget to ‘treat yo’ self’ to a mani!
